Review

Date:

Review written on 14th November 2009 – based on various visits to the course since 1st July 2009

Weather (if applicable):

On the 1st July it was a lovely sunny summer’s evening (I’ve since played there in the cold, the wet and in the dark!)

Overall playability rating:

7.4

Playability:

Design:

7

Difficulty Level:

7 (It looks easy enough, but a good round can turn into a nightmare if you don’t concentrate on your second putts. The dog-leg 5th hole can be a killer hole!)

Skill Factor:

7

Maintenance:

8 (On our first visit some holes were un-felted chipped concrete, while some had been re-felted. Now all of the holes are felted. Some of the holes have also had obstacles added and these often change to add variety to the course)

Sustainability:

Other factors:

8.7

Appearance:

7 (It looks like a nice little course)

Environment:

8 (Nice surroundings and views, plus very friendly staff)

Equipment:

8 (Standard new course putters and course balls, new scorecards have recently been printed)

Originality:

10 (I haven’t played any of the holes elsewhere)

Venue Facilities:

9 (A bar, restaurant, club shop, driving range, putting green and a very challenging, but good fun 9-hole pay and play BIG Golf course)

Vicinity Facilities:

9 (as above)

Value for money:

10

Reviewer comments:

Tea Green Golf is a very friendly and relaxed golf club, with some great facilities. The staff are really friendly and I’m sure they would be happy to take on any other BMGA ‘Pro’ Minigolfers in a round!
