Review

Date:

 26th August 2007

Weather (if applicable):

 Nice and sunny

Overall playability rating:

4

Playability:

Design:

It gets a 3 because of the fact it is so hotch potch in its layout and obstacles. It looks quite horrible.

Difficulty Level:

5 – no real skill required, all down to luck

Skill Factor:

2 – Lots of luck required. Too many rips, lumps and bumps to play it seriously

Maintenance:

1 – the course is not in good condition and is not well maintained

Sustainability:

9 – I always seem to play it when in Felixstowe and it is actually quite fun

Other factors:

Appearance:

Ugly and uncared for, it’s broken in places.

Environment:

8 – It was busy when we played, with players on each hole and a constant stream of customers. This is probably due to the fact it is close to the pier and town centre, rather than the course quality

Equipment:

3– Poor putters and standard golf balls. Pencil and scorecards however are provided

Originality:

It’s got holes that I haven’t played elsewhere (and am unlikely to do so)

Venue Facilities:

Refreshment kiosk and other rides/amusements

Vicinity Facilities:

The pier, the sea front, two other courses, toilets etc. everything you’d expect from a seaside.

Value for money:

Difficult to rate. It’s only a pound to play and is quite poor, but still fun to play!?! What else can you get for a pound eh?

Reviewer comments:

Play it if you dare!
