Peter Pan’s Adventure Island

Alongside the pier [longest pleasure pier in the world!]

Southend-on-Sea, Essex

 

By car:

From the M25, turn off at Junction 29 (Havering), and follow the A127 into Southend. At Victoria Circus turn left into Queensway and follow directions to the sea front. There is parking next to the beach off Marine Parade. Then walk along the promenade towards the pier.

 

By train:

Frequent trains run to Southend from London Liverpool Street (fifty minutes to Southend Victoria) or London Fenchurch Street. From Southend Victoria station, take the escalator up into Victoria Circus Shopping Centre and follow directions to High Street (pedestrianised). This leads direct to the sea front and the pier. Allow 15 minutes walk from Southend Victoria or 10 from Southend Central. Peter Pan's Adventure Island straddles the entrance to the pier. Coming from High Street, the course is on the left side of the theme park.

 

Eligibility:

  1. New and existing BMGA members receive automatic invites.
  2. Professional players from overseas are ineligible to win the prize.
 

Format:

All players to complete two rounds (36 holes).

 

Entrance Fee:

BMGA membership card holders (2006 season): £5 per player

Non-members: £15 including BMGA membership for 2006 season

Fee covers:

  • 2 rounds of competitive minigolf for all players
 

Prizes:

BMGA British Masters Championship trophy and 'Masters Jacket' (both yours to keep for a year). Prize fund £300 sponsored by Adventure Island, Southend.

1st - £150  2nd - £75  3rd - £50  Novice - £25

 

Practice:

On production of a valid membership card, BMGA members can play all 18 holes of the Lost Island course for the price of 9.

 

Accommodation:

There is a wide choice of hotels and guest houses on the sea front within five minutes walk of the course.
