A really tough course, particularly using the course equipment available.  This is a standardised course favoured in mainland Europe, known as Betong.

I played on the first day of opening for the summer season, they were still busy tidying as I putted hopelessly around the course.  I dutifully ignored the local rules regarding a three shot maximum before placing the ball on the white spot after the obstacle.  It helps if you read the rules before you play!  I ended up with a 68!!  I returned a couple of weeks later to card a 60.  I shall return and conquer this lovely little course soon, fully equipped with the correct putter, my 8 iron and balls.  One interesting point was the holes actually did get smaller later in the round!  And a tip - you'll need a tee for the ninth hole.

If you're in the area you MUST play this course and have a beer in the little bar, really friendly hosts and a really nice atmosphere.  Highly recommended.  Afterwards stroll up to the park and sit on the wall and take in the magnificent view of Mont St. Michel.
